Potbellied pigs make enjoyable pets because they are very intelligent and affectionate, and become very attached to their owners. They get along great with children and other pets, are easily housebroken and can be trained. They are very neat and clean, rarely shed, and are hypo-allergenic. They are easily housebroken. Adult mini-pigs can weigh around 50 - 70 lbs, when fully-grown at 2-3 years and are about the height of a cocker spaniel. They have a projected lifespan of 10-15 years, and are relatively low maintenance pets, requiring typically less daily care then a dog.
